Dr Briana Ortiz's life is seriously flatlining. Her divorce is just about finalised, her brother's running out of time to find a kidney donor, and that promotion she wants . . . ? Oh, that's probably going to the new man-doctor who's already registering eighty-friggin'-seven on Briana's 'pain in my ass' scale.
But just when all systems are set to hate, Dr Jacob Maddox completely flips the game . . . by sending Briana a letter. It's a really good letter. Like the kind that proves that Jacob isn't actually Satan. Worse, he might be this fantastically funny and subversively likeable guy who's terrible at first impressions. Because suddenly he and Bri are exchanging letters, sharing lunch dates in her 'sob closet' and discussing the merits of freakishly tiny horses.
When Jacob turns out to be the perfect donor for her brother, Bri starts to realise that this quietly sexy new doctor might just be her perfect match, too.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Romance author Abby Jimenez never fails to keep things hopeful and uplifting, even when tackling heavy themes like grief and mental health, and Yours Truly is no exception. It follows Briana Ortiz, an ER doctor who’s “done with men” after a messy marriage and divorce. Despite her intention to focus solely on her family and career, Briana finds herself unable to resist the charm of her sexy new colleague, Dr Jacob Maddox. Jimenez uses her intensely funny style to squeeze new life out of the fake-relationship trope. She takes the story in some outrageous directions while keeping things grounded with strongly developed characters and enjoyable details (a parrot named Jafar and a dog named Lieutenant Dan are just two worth mentioning). Yours Truly is a delightful read with hope and optimism at its core.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Bestseller Jimenez (Part of Your World) charms with this poignant and often hilarious romance between ER doctors. Briana Ortiz is initially suspicious that new hire Jacob Maddox is out to steal her promotion, but Jacob surprises her by taking himself out of the running. Both are recovering from messy breakups—Jacob with an ex who is now engaged to his brother, Briana with a husband who gaslighted her while carrying on a yearslong affair—and as they grow closer through letters, they help each other recover. However, the idea of faking a relationship to convince Jacob's family that he's moved on could upend their fragile dynamic. Indeed, the ensuing series of communication issues will leave readers wanting to shake some sense into Jimenez's leads. Still, Jacob is a dream boyfriend (down to his willingness to donate a kidney for Briana's brother), and the romantic angst rings true in light of the characters' traumatic past relationships. The laugh-out-loud scenes—including Briana's tale of glitter-bomb revenge and the introduction of a foul-mouthed parrot—are the real highlight. Add in sparkling prose, skillful plotting, and a sensitive approach to Jacob's clinical anxiety, and the result is contemporary romance gold.

Loveable and relatable
Really good book, and you can really get inside the characters minds and understand them. Does drag out a little bit but worth the read.
