Publisher Description
Open yourself to the transforming experience of The Power of Now, the acclaimed bestseller by revolutionary spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle. To make the journey into the Now we will need to leave our analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. From the very first page of Eckhart Tolle's extraordinary book, we move rapidly into a significantly higher altitude where we breathe a lighter air. We become connected to the indestructible essence of our Being, “The eternal, ever present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.” Although the journey is challenging, Eckhart Tolle uses simple language and an easy question and answer format to guide us. A word of mouth phenomenon since its first publication, The Power of Now is one of those rare books with the power to create an experience in readers, one that can radically change their lives for the better.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In terms of commitment, The Power of Now is somewhere between using an online meditation app and going deep into the tenets of Buddhism philosophy. Spiritual adviser Eckhart Tolle has a wonderfully soothing voice that avoids woo-woo mysticism—during the course of this book, he reveals his own struggles with depression and an overactive mind, coming across as more of a relatable friend than some kind of guru. The Power of Now positions self-improvement as an ongoing process, not a specific goal…which is probably the healthiest way to think of it.
Customer Reviews
Good Listen
Audio delivery is not the best, but the content is thought provoking and tangible.
New concept of God
This book quickly changed my perspective on life but reinforced so much of what I thought believed about God. Powerful analysis of the teachings of Jesus, while also pointing out how other cultures find “true enlightenment”. This book will be on repeat for me to help with meditation and getting past my resistances! Amazing concepts.
Christians read with caution..
I like the idea of being present, and observing your thoughts. Being a christian I don’t like some of these ideas it teaches. I feel like it pulls you away from your identity of being a Son of God.
