predictable/no development
I bought this book because I’m a huge fan of Tijan’s fallen crest series, and if you haven’t read it, please do!! But this book was very lackluster from what I thought I’d get from the author. No character development, very (almost too) predictable, hardly any explanation in subtext or non verbal cues, and all around a boring read; I stopped reading 3/4th of the way. However, I will continue to read from this author, considering she snagged me so hard with her other material. This project just seemed rushed, is all.
