Couldn’t put it down!
This review is of Cold Deceit, book 2 in the Cold Justice® – Most Wanted series,by Toni Anderson.
I received an ARC copy and this review is my honest opinion.
Whenever I receive a new book by Toni Anderson, I am of two minds about reading it. On one hand, Toni Anderson is one of my favorite authors and I know I won’t be disappointed in the book. On the other hand, once I start reading it, I won’t be able to stop and it will be over way too soon!
This book is no different. Zoe Miller is one amazing woman. She’s a smart, well educated forensic anthropologist working on finding the bones of missing immigrants in the Sonoran Desert. Seth Hopper is is undercover agent trying to slow the distribution of drugs. And more importantly, find the mole in the group that is giving away all of their secrets. What do these two have in common? A female murder victim who disappears after Zoe reports it.
The author is amazing at bringing together people of completely different backgrounds and getting them to work together for the common good. They may not like each other at first, but the common threads of integrity and justice run through them both.
Does that make it sound boring? Did I forget to tell who killed the missing corpse? Well you’re going to have to read the book to find out! And you will find out a lot more. Like how these two lives become intertwined and why the author’s books are so good. Plenty of action, tensions, secrets, and characters who have their own agendas and secrets.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did, but then why wouldn’t you? And if you haven’t read any other books by this author, you will go find the rest of the spell-binding books Toni Anderson creates!

An exciting, fast paced read, with no down side. I loved the interaction between Zoe and Seth, both are driven, smart and interesting.
