It was okay
Derrick aka Dagger is a pretty decent kind of guy who’s very protective, hot and patient when he tries to woo domestic abuse survivor nurse Katy. I wanted to give this either a 4 or 5 and as much as I wanted to, I didn’t like the whole stalking and domestic violence against Katy after he abusive ex-boyfriend tracked her down and continued to terrorize her after she went on the run to escape him. Yeah I could swoon over Derrick because he’s an MMA fighter and wanted to make a professional career to support himself and Katy. I’m not a huge fan of a slow burn romance theme but I did read this one without skipping so that’s something positive.
