The COVID pandemic is still raging when the reclusive but genius Holly Gibney takes on the case of a missing librarian. But the mystery proves more dangerous than Holly could have ever imagined, as the clues lead to the seemingly sweet, mild-mannered couple living nearby. Fans of Holly’s previous appearances in the Bill Hodges trilogy will appreciate seeing her take center stage. Through his brilliant use of dual narratives, King lets us in on many of the story’s gruesome surprises before Holly gets to them, amping up the tension and dread. This is a wonderfully creepy read.

The story grabs you and never lets go. Great book, I look forward to reading more about Holly.
Disappointed.
Listen, I don't even like Trump. But I read these books as a form of escapism, and I do not appreciate the author's whiney political rants being shoved down my throat. Stephen King is an incredible author and has been my favorite ever since I was definitely way too young to be reading his books; but I do not think I will be purchasing another for quite a while after sitting through the moral lecture that I just endured via this book.
Good for Holly
A great glimpse into the world of Finders Keepers and company.
If you read the trilogy starting with Mr Mercedes, jump right in.
If not do yourself a favor and read them first and come to this of it read The Outsider (that was my first dealings and it led me to the trilogy)
But PLEASE Mr King leave politics out of your stories unless it moves the plot along.
Yes we understand your beliefs but it was painful and you kept at it. I know you don’t need the money however alienating slightly over 1/2 of the voting population and having former fans swearing off of your books is just cray cray.
