Publisher Description
She built a life for everyone else. Now it's her turn.
At forty-eight, Jackie Turner is beginning to unravel. Her once-steady career has lost its momentum, her home feels too quiet without her daughters, and her father's health is slipping. In the silence, she begins to wonder if the life she built was ever really her own.
Longing for something more, Jackie returns to her Minnesota hometown and to the friends who once felt like family. The Kaleidoscope Girls were inseparable during their summers at camp, and now, decades later, their reunion sparks something she didn't expect. Laughter resurfaces. Trust rebuilds. And the path forward begins to brighten.
Better with Friends, the first book in The Kaleidoscope Girls series, is a heartfelt and relatable women's fiction novel about second chances, lifelong friendship, and the quiet courage it takes to start over. Perfect for readers of Viola Shipman and Susan Wiggs.
Customer Reviews
Friendship Is A Pillar To Our Lives
Friendship is extremely valuable in life. Having friends to relate to is a must. It is pillar to our lives.
Book about having long fulfilling friendships
I enjoyed this. I have a group of 9 women that bless my life with their friendship. We didn’t become friends in school like the girls in this book, but we enjoy each other & support each other & I’m grateful for them. This book is a great reminder to nurture & appreciate the people who share our lives beyond just our families.
Not for me
This author is very boring. Reads like school-girl diary. She has lots to learn about moving a plot along.
