Through the Kaleidoscope's Lens

Can one truly return home, or do homes merely change with us?

Jemima Fairfax stands at the edge of the Fairfax Greenhouse, clutching her grandfather's kaleidoscope. As the wooden wheels of a buggy creak in the distance, she is reminded of a past she wishes to keep hidden. Determined to reclaim her place in the community, Jemima faces skepticism and the looming threat of Obadiah Winslow's new regulations.

In Through the Kaleidoscope's Lens, the first book in the Returning to The Fold series, Jemima's journey back to her Amish roots is fraught with challenges. Secrets and shadows weave through the air as Obadiah's whispered threats grow louder, and Nathaniel Stone brings unsettling news of the congregation's skepticism.

As Jemima battles external judgment and internal conflict, she must decide whether to conceal her past or risk everything by revealing it. With each step, the stakes grow higher, forcing her to confront not just the community's judgment but her internal struggle to see God's purpose in her trials.

Jemima's path to acceptance is a tapestry of faith and doubt, woven with the threads of devotion and understanding. Will she find peace in struggle and see God's hand in her suffering without needing answers, or will understanding prove to be the key to true peace?

Join Jemima as she navigates the tension between her vibrant life beyond the Amish community and the steadfast order she left behind. Can she reconcile these two worlds, or will the weight of choices never fully discussed define her faith more than any spoken words or silent prayers?

With the future of the horse sale—and the community's livelihood—at risk, Jemima's actions might affect more than just her own path. Experience a tale of faith, resilience, and the search for belonging in a world shaped by tradition and change.
