I’d watch the movie
This was an unlikely love story that survives the test of time and the roller coasters of war time life. I truly loved all the strong female characters in this book but I must say, personally, I had a hard time staying engaged. The writing was not bad, I just felt it took a bit long to get going. Overall I think I would still recommend the book to a friend.

Fabulous story. Riveting! Beautifully written. Characters and places came alive and will long live in my memory.
