Fun little Read
This was my first book from this author and overall was pleased. I was hooked from the beginning and really liked the character development of Liz. However, I wished the story focused on the issue more diving deeper with more action or thrills. And while I appreciated the story line of Brooks, I felt the whole Blake debacle unnecessary, I would’ve been fine without it. Still a good read though, would definitely recommend.
Too Easy!
The start was great. The events happened quickly and I thought maybe the rest will be the same. I thought too soon. After the captivating events the rest of the book is a drag with very very few interesting moments. My patience was getting the best of me. But i hung around hoping for a grand climax. The climax was quick and lets just say too easy. The "Heroine" of this movie has too easy a time at the end.
They shouldn't market this book as a thriller. I was least thrilled after reading this book.
Mixed review
True to the NR formula and an enjoyable if somewhat simplistic read. NR clearly ripped off Reich's character Dr. Brennan. The"voice" of the two characters is so similar I found it distracting and left me a little disappointed in NR. Still, it was a few hours of mindless entertainment, but not sure if it was worth the $12.
