Vampires and Magic
First of all, you need to Royally Drained first in order to read this one, since we start right we’re we left off. After the tragic events that happened in the end of the first book, Penelope goes missing and end up in another realm, the human one, without magic! There she tries to mourn her losses, while our favorite vampire Vail is in Morningwood trying to find her and bring her home to a safer place.
I laughed a lot with Penelope trying to fit in the human world (not easy) and also tasting a lot of our most delicious dishes, such as tacos, pizza and lots of coffee. But things start to take a wild turn when she tries to find what’s going on and the truth behind the ones around her and mostly important herself.
But she is not the only one fighting, Vail and his Bostwick brothers are ready to discover who is the traitor and their journey is a crazy one and there are so many twists, ones that I wasn’t expecting at all. Vail is another one that improved so much, his development was clear as water and I liked how vulnerable when he was with Penelope.
With every book Penelope is turning more independent and strong, here she took her “life” by its horns and decided what was best for her and Vail in the long run. They say with power comes responsibility, I’m so anxious to see what happens in the next book!
