Oh to be inside of the author’s head! Finally we have the conclusion to Penelope’s and Vail’s story and it is wild, crazy, fun and full of heat. Them, the whole Bostwick family and her gang of misfits, they are preparing to take down The Council and their weapon? Penelope’s new found and transformed power.
They are still doing it all for “the cause”, meaning, they are working on a way to turn back to human, but The Council is always on their way to do it. But now there are other problems working against that too. The beginning were more slow paced when compared to the previously two books, with a lot of details for me to understand.
In this one, Pen and Vail works on their relationship and I loved how they both grew stronger together. Their chemistry was explosive and it was possible to feel their love for each other in every page. It broke my heart that although they knew they were a forever couple, they still struggled to finally have all their dreams for the future.
Vail showed more a vulnerable side of him, which was so fitting and natural for him. At the same time Pen was pure girl power and was a true Queen! I loved to read how she was finally on control of her feelings and her powers. They had their HEA, but it wasn’t one that I was expecting, but somehow totally worked. This trilogy brought a new view to the whole vampire world!
