In Love Wins, bestselling author, international teacher, and speaker Rob Bell (Velvet Elvis, Drops Like Stars) addresses one of the most controversial issues of faith—hell and the afterlife—arguing, would a loving God send people to eternal torment forever?
Rob Bell is an electrifying, unconventional pastor whom Time magazine calls “a singular rock star in the church world,” with millions viewing his NOOMA videos.
With searing insight, Bell puts hell on trial with a hopeful message—eternal life doesn’t start when we die; it starts right now. And ultimately, Love Wins.

I have been a big fan of Rob Bells teaching for a while. I had heard this book distorted the Bible but thought it must be the same angry critics who always give Rob Bell a hard time. After reading the book to the end, I can say that Rob seems to impose his own truths on the Bible and discount biblical truths which are hard to deny. I was hoping for helpful revelation, but instead found myself frustrated with a pastor I had always appreciated.
eternal damnation is not in the bible, ezekiel 18:4, romans 6:23 both tell us what happens to those who sin. ecclesiastes 9:5 tells us the dead are concious of nothing....
God didn't tell adam, "if you sin i'm sending you to hell" he told adam "in that day you shall certainly die" and in that day adam became imperfect and began to die.
read genesis 2:7 men don't have souls, adam BECAME a living soul.
this link discusses, "is there life beyond the grave"
Also the bible is full of opposites. Light/Dark, God/Satan, Life/Death etc.
God promised everlating life to those who come to him through Jesus. Think about it the opposite of life is death, also if you are tormented in Hell for eternity then infact you to have everlasting life, but god said the only everlating life is with him.
Rob Bell does not represent authentic Christianity. This book is sheer garbage.
