This series is addictive and unforgettable

Book 2 in the series and it is necessary to read them in order to get the full understanding of the plot. This will definitely be a future binge re-read series for me.

We left off in Book 1 on a cliffhanger. We had a lot of open threads in the tapestry that is this story and the last few minutes ripped open a while new one (a dangling rope instead of a thread if you will). We return to the story and learn more about Westlyn's past, her experiences growing up and her family. The mission to break the gargoyle's curse takes a bit of a back seat as the guys take on the mantle of righting the wrongs done to Westlyn almost a decade earlier.

Vengeance is the name of the game and Jude along with Auggie take point on that mission.

We get to see more of Rook in his intellectual element, however I'm still waiting to see him crossing certain lines with West.

And we get a lot of West and Drae interactions. Ohhhh they interact and Daddy Drae is fully engaged in the story. The memories of those scenes linger my friends. Be warned... in the best way possible.

However as with all longer sagas, there are no real answers yet, just more and more questions. We get drawn deeper into this world, more invested in these characters and their relationships and more curious about where we will go next. It's an "OMG!!!!" cliff ending so be ready to start all over again while we wait for the next installment.

The audiobook is performed fantastically by Vanessa Edwin, Aiden Snow, Aaron Shedlock and Shane East. This performance was so very good.
- Vanessa is just amazing as Westlyn and I love her tons. She's got such a great range bringing all of West's emotions on this ride to life and bring out all 4 men in their unique ways.
- Aiden as Auggie is caring but still naughty and flirty, he's paired a lot with Jude in this one and does a great job making Jude vibrant in Auggie's POV.
- Aaron... I adore his voice! We got more of him this time and that makes me happy. He's bringing all the various other men in their unique styles so everyone is distinct and recognizable but also just being that smooth silky Rook through it all. I'm still waiting for Rook to get a little more active shall we say, but the naughty professor vibes are strong.
- Shane pulling double duty is a delight for my ears. Psycho Jude, rough and crude but caring and tender in his special way. And of course there is Daddy Drae... OMG... whisper Shane, growly Shane, exasperated Shane... these scenes broke me. I could not focus on anything other than Shane's Drae POV in my ears and had to go back and re-listen multiple times to absorb it all. The shivers I felt hearing some of those passages... holy hell. They will not be forgotten anytime soon.
