Love and Catharsis
In this story, it’s Colin Ryan’s turn to rescue his Lady Guinevere, Peyton, and feel the Ryan click. Throughout this romance, everything is going along so smoothly… too smoothly…everything is just wonderful… then BAM! the BAM just blew me away! I was so invested in these two and their love, that I just completely feel in love with this story. All the Dungeons Singles Night books have been fantastic, and this one is no different.
Love isn't just a myth
What started out as something very similar to the old joke about how porcupines mate, evolved into something very different then I had been expecting. Even though Colin’s walls are high and well defended, he's the one fighting hard for this relationship from the very beginning. At least, until all his old baggage comes back to bite him. Peyton doesn't believe in love. Period. As far as she’s concerned it's a lovely sentiment she's never had experience with. Colin has his work cut out for him to prove that it exists. But is that even possible for two people whose hearts are as well guarded as a medieval castle under siege? I feel like this book was a little bit of a slower burn, but at the same time I don't. Colin puts in a lot of effort to gently woo Peyton and show her that love isn't just a myth. Their encounters are spicy, and I particularly liked the way he introduced her to the Lifestyle. He lost some serious book boyfriend credit with me when he allowed his past to disrupt his future however, his groveling game is on point. I loved seeing their happy ever after, and I'm already looking forward to seeing what's coming next in the series.

Love from adversity
Colin and Peyton both have baggage that almost gets in the way of their fairytale love story. Not quite love at first sight, but that Ryan click cannot be ignored and Colin may make a mistake but he rectifies it as the Sir Galahad he is to Peyton’s Guinevere. But without Emma who knows how their story would end. This is a real feel good love story that will make you feel all the feels and the passion between Peyton and Colin is so hot it is off the charts. The whole Ryan family make an appearance but you don’t have to have read their stories to enjoy this one.
