A Tonal Path, Volume 2

A Tonal Path, Volume 2 contains 420 advanced play-by-ear exercises that extend the method through flat and sharp signatures before culminating in chromatic material.

Advanced Levels 8–12 gradually expand the tonal space. Levels 8–10 introduce two semitones and work through flat and sharp signatures. Levels 11 and 12 introduce additional semitones, culminating in twelve-tone material across a two-octave range.

Each exercise contains fragments of melody rather than abstract patterns. The exercises are presented in standard music notation and are intended to be heard and played back from memory.
