Fifty shades in disguise
This book is VERY similar to Fifty Shades of Grey. If a reader found themselves craving more Grey, this satisfies that craving without the repetitive lines.
50 shades made this bearable
The main character was difficult to identify with and some of the scenes were so...'primal' (code for vulgar) that I lost some self respect as I read them.
The writing was not 'better', it was just...professional in a formulaic sort of way. Not very natural. Revealed the authors psychological manipulation of the reader and ruined the focus on the story.
I won't say I was proud to read 50 Shades, but I wasn't embarrassed. This book will not be making it into my Facebook status.
Bared to You
After finishing all the Fifty Shades books I was starving for something more and this book hit the spot! Can' t wait for more in the Crossfire series!
