Russell is known for defending pacifism and atheism and supporting liberalism through left-wing political movements. He significantly contributed to the history of philosophy and cognitive theories by examining his own psychological problems through systematic writing. Many consider his contribution to mathematical logic as being the most significant since aristotle.
Russell's works on aesthetics, pedagogy, and sociology are less well known but equally intriguing.
