Publisher Description
As if temple politics wasn't enough, now Ani has to deal with the royal court.
Having aided with the mummification of the previous Pharaoh, Ani is somewhat surprised to discover she's expected to stay in Egypt for longer, this time to serve during the coronation of the next one.
Despite her budding friendship with the new Queen, Ani thought she'd be at home, but instead, she's dealing with the displeasure of the High Blessed, attention from the royal court, and run-ins with her sort-of-ex.
At least she doesn't have to do it alone, and with Nik and Matia by her side, she can do anything.

Good read
Ani becomes the favourite of the Pharaoh. Nik and Ani are still in Egypt waiting for the coronation. There are some surprises there for Ani and more work to do. This was a good read.

Book 11
This is a quick read but don’t let that fool you. There’s a lot going on after the previous pharaoh died and he’s successor Iset is crown. Asked to stay for the coronation Ani and Nik are busy as always in the mortuary. A run in with her ex boyfriend crown Prince doesn’t go very well and Ani worries about his previous threat. Another blessed priest seems to be wanting to befriend Ani and Nik which shows just how isolating being a blessed can truly be. Can’t wait for the next book.
