Decades

This is a memoir by a jazz musician, composer, educator, and author who has worked for decades in the music industry.  The book starts at his birth and goes through his career as a generally unheralded performer, teacher, record producer, and citizen, residing primarily in the Dallas, Texas Area.  It covers a time period from 1940 to 2020, focusing on his education, notable performances, musicians met, personal life, and time in the military.  It speaks of a career full of encounters with famous musicians and entertainers such as Wes Montgomery, John Coltrane and others met along the way.  Also included are views about life in a society that has not always been kind to people of color.
