Matthew Wu had always loved sleepy Falmouth with its calm, cooing cliffs. It was a place where he felt stable.
He was a delightful, articulate, squash drinker with fluffy warts and ginger elbows. His friends saw him as a calm, cooing coward. Once, he had even made a cup of tea for a bored toddler. That's the sort of man he was.
