Detective Robert Lui 4-5: Two book set

The Girl from Raven Island

A police officer is murdered after a demonstration in Vancouver. Detective Robert Lui identifies suspects and travels to Raven Island, on BC's coast. He's looking for motive but finds danger. When more people are murdered, Robert realizes his assumptions about the case might be wrong, and he uses unorthodox methods to draw out an opponent. But his personal and professional mistakes are adding up. He's had better Octobers.

Possession Point

A string of construction accidents plague Vancouver. Deaths have occurred. Robert Lui doesn't do accidents, but as he finds out more, tentacles reach out, and not friendly ones.

People kept saying 'Change is a good thing'. If he'd heard this crap on a podcast, he'd be asking for a refund plus damages. Robert Lui had his doubts, but made a couple of changes, one professional and one personal, to make life safer for him and those closest to him. These and other thoughts tumble around his mind as he heads to Surrey. What could be more continental than sitting down on a Saturday afternoon for coffee and a pleasant chat with a man tasked to murder him?
