This book got me in real fast and couldn’t stop reading it. Actually finished it in 3 days because of how good it was.
What a weird little town!
Matilda Dare is an insomniac from California who inherits a house and newspaper in Goodnight, New Mexico: a tiny town full of rattlesnakes, alien conspiracy theorists…and murder? While Matilda tries to acclimate to the thinner air and understand the town’s weird issues with giraffes, she finds herself waist-deep in wild news stories, whacky townspeople…and of course, a love triangle.
This is fun and quirky, and while the actual mystery in this first instalment gets a little rushed, the cliffhanger sets up a second book very well.
