SHE DOESN'T FEEL SAFE ANYWHERE.
Safety is more than just elusive…
It doesn't exist.
Pip Tyler is safe at her family's ranch, tending her horses, helping raise her younger brothers—and healing from an attack when she'd been a teenager. Her self-imposed isolation ends when her older sister marries the sheriff of Masterson County. Now she has to make room in her life for her brother-in-law—and his three brothers.
Bigger, stronger, larger-than-life, the Masterson brothers have her quaking in her boots every time they get near. Pip doesn't know how much longer she can hide. From life. Or from them.
From Matt.
HE SEES HER...AND HE UNDERSTANDS.
Dr. Matt Masterson spends his days building the only veterinary practice in Masterson County—and his nights wondering how to break through Pip's fears. How to get close to the woman he can't forget.
But Matt isn't the only one who wants Pip Tyler. Someone from her past will stop at nothing to have the woman he's always wanted…as his future.
The only thing standing in his way is the one man Pip knows she can trust…
DISCOVERING THE DOCTOR is a shorter length small-town western romantic suspense novel and part of the Masterson County connected stand-alone series. The Masterson County series contains scenes of violence, adventure, occasional dark criminal behavior, moderate cursing—especially by villains, a few mild-to-moderate love scenes, and references to subject matter that may distress some readers. The Masterson County books contain the same level of descriptive content as a typical crime drama on network television—but good always wins out in the end, guaranteed.
Customer Reviews
Matt & Pip
Pip is the quietest and shyest of the four sisters. She was always shy but after getting assaulted, and almost raped by Jay Gunderson, she became much more reserved.
Matt is the vet in the family and is sweet, kind and gentle. He’s drawn to Pip from the day he meets her and takes his time, being extremely patient, to get to know her, learn her story and earn her trust.
Jay, returns to town after being in prison for the last four years. This guy clearly had some mental issues, as he was under the impression that he would marry Pip once he got out and that she had waited for him during his prison stint…after her assaulted her and would have raped her if he hadn’t been stopped by her sisters. Crazy anyone?!
Jay legit goes off the deep end and tries to kill Matt, burn down one of the Tyler’s barns and kidnap Pip.
CON: no epilogue and I feel like their happily ever after ending got skipped over.
