SHE DOESN'T NEED HIS KIND OF TROUBLE...
The last thing Phoebe Tyler needs is the damned sheriff complicating her life. The sheriff of Masterson County had always meant trouble—especially for the Tylers of Tyler Township.
She has to focus on helping her widowed father run their struggling ranch and raise her younger brothers. When the sheriff shows up with her teenage brother, Phoebe knows more problems are right behind him.
HE HAS A JOB TO DO NOW...
Sheriff Joel Masterson has an entire county depending on him to keep them safe.
He doesn't need more trouble with the rabble-rousing Tylers. But once he gets a good look at the eldest Tyler daughter, things get complicated.
Real complicated—real quick.
Now Joel doesn't mind trouble—at least…not Phoebe's kind. But real trouble has a way of finding all the Tylers sooner or later. Phoebe is no exception.
But this time the sheriff might not be enough to keep Phoebe safe, after all…
SEEKING THE SHERIFF is a shorter length small-town western romantic suspense and part of the Masterson County connected stand-alone series. The Masterson County series contains scenes of violence, adventure, occasional dark criminal behavior, moderate cursing—especially by villains, a few mild-to-moderate love scenes, and references to subject matter that may distress some readers. The Masterson County books contain the same level of descriptive content as a typical crime drama on network television—but good always wins out in the end, guaranteed.

Joel & Phoebe
Note: all four books in this series have no intimate scenes - it’s all assumed and alluded to. The stories are all short as well, with you definitely wishing for more of a happy ending for each couple.
Phoebe is the oldest of the Tyler sisters and she only has 60% hearing in one ear. There’s mention that she had a childhood accident but details of what happened are never revealed.
Joel is the oldest of the Masterson brothers and he is the sheriff. He meets Phoebe for the first time when bringing home one of her younger brothers for underage drinking. He immediately feels a pull towards Phoebe and can’t understand why.
Phoebe’s mother was killed in a car accident 2 years prior, leaving her as head of household to manage her 7 younger siblings alongside her father. Their ranch is struggling and they have very little money.
Phoenix, one of Phoebe’s brothers, gets beat up for accidentally discovering that marijuana is being illegally grown in their family’s property by Tom & John Rutherford, a family who hates the Tyler’s. (Note: both Phoebe’s mom and Rutherford’s wife were killed in the same car accident.)
Determined that the Tyler family is responsible for his wife’s death, Tom goes off the deep end and him and his brother set off to kill the Tyler’s. Joel gets shot in the chest, Phoebe, Perci and Pip all almost drown to death and are saved by Matt and Nate Masterson (Joel’s brothers).
Couldn’t put it down
Gripping, loved it, even made me cry. Couldn’t put it down read the whole book all at once.
