It's sweet and funny and utterly adorable
It's sweet and funny and utterly adorable but it frustrated the living daylights out of me. For probably a good three quarters of the book I wanted to take Tyler and Lizzie and shake some sense into them. They were so close to having it all but were both too set in their ways and too afraid to take that extra step to achieve it. It meant that I was kept desperately flipping pages in order to find out how they were going to make it work. Lizzie is this strong, independent businesswoman but her desire to be wanted for who she is leaves her in a heart-breakingly vulnerable position. It took me a while to warm up to Tyler. He starts out as a bit of a jerk and it takes some effort to get him beyond that. I knew that there had to be something worth redeeming, otherwise he wouldn't be the romantic lead. I would have loved the chance to spend more time in his head to get to know him better. There were several times I was hoping for a "Tyler" chapter only to discover that we stayed with Lizzie for another one.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book.
