I adore Dylan
I find myself dithering over exactly how to rate this book. I so badly wanted to take the pair of them and smack some sense into their thick heads that I want to rate the book lower than it deserves. Simply the fact that I'm experiencing this kind of an emotional connection to the characters tells me how good this book really was. I adore Dylan. He's sweet, and patient, and kind, and loving, but he's let Kayla treat him like a doormat for way too long. By the end, I liked Kayla. But for so much of the story she behaved like a spoiled, self-centered wretch. I did not, at all, like the way she treated Dylan. I was very grateful for the "a-ha!" moment because it meant that Kayla finally realized what was at stake.
