Publisher Description
It's never a good thing when a vampire can't drink blood.
Bernie never thought she was a good vampire, especially as even the thought of drinking blood turns her stomach.
When she heads to a cooking class in the hope of fixing the issue, the last thing she expects is to meet another vampire who not only understands, but is willing to help her find a solution to her blood-drinking problems.
The moment he meets Bernie, Shane knows there's something special about her, and he's determined to make sure he helps her as much as he can, especially if that means he can capture her heart in the process.

Intolerance or allergies
Bernie meets Shane who is going to help her figure out why she feels so ill drinking blood. As a vampire she needs blood to survive. This was a fast, easy read that was enjoyable too. I would recommend reading this book.

Cooking Class Chemistry
Bernie is a vegetarian vampire who hates drinking blood. Shane is a third-year culinary student and vampire teaching Bernie’s cooking class. What starts off as Shane helping Bernie with her blood aversion becomes something fang-droppingly fantastic! I loved the banter between these two and their relationship made me feel warm and fuzzy instead (surprising, for vampires ;) ). A great feel-good story.
I can’t wait to read more about the goings on at Obscure Academy
I’m reading this collection all out of order, but while the characters show up in each other’s’ books, the stories themselves stand alone. I’m really enjoying the way the author has taken key characteristics of the supernatural species and asked us to look at them in a completely new way. I mean, it’s not every book where you’ll encounter a vegetarian vampire who has a serious problem with drinking blood. I thought it was absolutely precious the way Shane supported Bernie in finding out what the root of the issue was and discovering ways to manage it and have a full life. I thought the two of them together were pretty precious too. I can’t wait to read more about the goings on at Obscure Academy.
