Fun and Freeing
This is such a sweet story about a turned mer girl (Fiona) who braved her fear of water with the help of a cute mer guy (Wade). I loved their youthful romance - it was so sweet how they became friends and then something more.
Cannot swim
I enjoyed the story about a vampire who didn’t like drinking blood, now this story is about a mermaid who cannot swim. I had to laugh because who would have thought that would be possible. This story is unique and fun to read, I love the way Wade teaches Fiona to swim.

I really enjoy this series and the way the author takes the things we take for granted about mythical beings and tips them ever so slightly on their head. In this case, a mermaid’s ease in the water. Fiona’s discomfort becomes a way for her and Wade to bond as he helps her. The two of them are pretty stinking adorable together and I almost wish their story wasn’t over already. I can’t wait to read more about their classmates.
