Publisher Description
David Herbert Richards Lawrence (September 11, 1885 – March 2, 1930) was an English novelist, poet, essayist, playwright, literary critic and painter.
This book is a continuation from "Psychoanalysis and the Unconscious”. It is written with the intention to be a response to the psychoanalytic criticism of his novel Sons and Lovers, but it developed into a counterproposal to the Freudian theory of the unconscious and the incest motive. In the book you will also find Lawrence’s concepts of marriage, education, and social and political action. He expresses his insights into the mental struggle to understand and harmonize the antithesis between emotional and intellectual identities.
