Final Peril

Aaron Drake retired with stress issues from the Seattle Police Department, and started a string of fitness clubs. His ex-wife contacts him from Colorado with the news that his fifteen year old son Jason, recently having disclosed he is gay, has taken her old pickup truck and headed for Seattle to stay with his dad. Drake is concerned but looks forward to having his son with him again, so he asks his wife to come to Seattle and they'll meet Jason together when he arrives. Then Jason disappears in Idaho and Drake enlists Sam Dexter to help him find him. As they probe into Jason's whereabouts, they begin to piece together evidence that Jason might have been kidnapped by a serial killer who targets teenage boys, decapitates them, and leaves their remains where they will be easily recovered, taunting the authorities. Drake and Sam travel across Oregon and into California pursuing leads, not knowing if Jason is alive, and their final confrontation with the killer will be an event that will surpass anyone's worst nightmares.
