For His Bravery

This is the sixth book in the K-9 Protection Romance series. I love this series of inerconnected stories. Dex and Ashley's story is filled with action, mystery, and twists and turns. Ashley is enigmatic, sweet, and beautiful. Dex is very handsome, caring, and protective. The storyline is interesting and captivating. I enjoyed it.

Dex has sort of hung around the periphery of the series so far, but he takes center stage in this book. The K-9 department’s case has now crossed over with the fire department’s arson investigation. And the stakes are raised even higher when his crush, Ashley, is targeted after taking case files home from work. I love this series. I’m loving the heroes. But the heroines may drive me to drink. Dex is funny, and alpha, and protective, and all the things I look for in a first responder hero. Ashley left me wanting to tear my hair out by the roots. I knew exactly where she was coming from with her negative self-talk, and it was easy to sympathize with her feelings after the fire. I just found it harder to forgive her taking the case into her own hands and taking so many ‘too stupid to live’ actions. I love where this story leaves Dex and Ashley in the end. I’m also more desperate than ever to find out what’s going to happen next with their cases.
