Fran's Story

This high-interest, low-vocabulary photostory is suitable for adult basic education (ABE) and English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) students who are beginning readers. A single mother hits her son in a grocery store. She loves her son and is afraid he will be taken away. This open-ended story will invite discussion around child discipline and child abuse as students are called upon to be the judge.
