For the past 40 years Nick Versteeg of DV Cuisine has been producing and directing documentaries for television, The Food Network in the US and Canada, A&E, The A&E History Channel, Discovery Channel, CBC, and CTV in Canada.
This story is about Nick's journey from baker to film maker illustrating the trials and tribulations of changing careers and becoming a successful and award winning documentary producer. Nick lives with his wife Elly in Victoria on Vancouver Island, Canada.
For the past twenty years Producer Nick Versteeg has specialized in the culinary field with documentaries. Some of them are: "The Bocuse d'Or," "The World Pastry Cup," "MasterChef," all produced for the American and Canadian Food Network. He has also co-produced 2 seasons of “The Next Great Chef”, an 11 part series for Global Television, which won four LEO Awards (The British Columbia Film Awards) and as producer he was nominated twice for a Gemini Award.(The Canadian Film Awards)
