Marvelous historical romance
I have loved historical romance stories for a long time and I really enjoy the way a lot more are being written about characters that are different. In this book we have a crusading spinster of nearly thirty and a hero who is not only half black but is also “in trade” (gasp). In normal Sandra Sookoo style she brings these two characters together, arranges troubles for them, applies heat (if you know what I mean) and then of course arranges things nicely at the end. An absolutely wonderful read. You can definitely read the books in this series individually or out of order but you will get more out of them if you read the whole series as there are characters and story lines that follow through the books. Do be aware that there is a fair amount of heat in this author’s writing so if that is not something you like in your romance books then maybe look elsewhere but if you are like me and love this kind of thing when it’s well written then I recommend you read this series.
