What a collection
This was the most intense book series I think I’ve ever read. All in this series are excellent.
My favourites were The Horror Weekend that was was actually exhausted from the intensity of the action packed weekend it described. One of the best books I’ve ever had the pleasure to read.
My second most enjoyed book was Dead at Third Man. It had many possibilities in this one and the twists just kept on coming. A very diverse bunch of characters.
The third best book in the series was The Pirate Club. The travelling and short handed staffing combined with the rugged territory and slim clues made this one fabulous too. I was sure the leads were going to survive the bumps and scares they endured and solving it in such a remote place with a shortage of services certainly made this one a very difficult one to solve.
By no means am I discounting the value of any in this collection as they were all beyond reproach. They were all equals but the fear I felt and the anguish with the battles to find the culprits in the three I have mention did take them over the top for piquing my interest. I can’t wait to read everything this author writes. Amazing collection of nerve tweaking books that everyone should read. They deserve many more than five star ratings.
