A TikTok sensation! Sparks fly when a competitive figure skater and hockey team captain are forced to share a rink.
Anastasia Allen has worked her entire life for a shot at Team USA. It looks like everything is going according to plan when she gets a full scholarship to the University of California, Maple Hills and lands a place on their competitive figure skating team.
Nothing will stand in her way, not even the captain of the hockey team, Nate Hawkins.
Nate’s focus as team captain is on keeping his team on the ice. Which is tricky when a facilities mishap means they are forced to share a rink with the figure skating team—including Anastasia, who clearly can’t stand him.
But when Anastasia’s skating partner faces an uncertain future, she may have to look to Nate to take her shot.
Sparks fly, but Anastasia isn’t worried…because she could never like a hockey player, right?
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Balancing college with an Olympics-bound athletic career is hard, but things really get complicated for a figure skater when an unexpected romance interrupts her routine. Anastasia has everything figured out: a perfect skating partner, a loyal best friend, and a fierce dedication to her sport. Until she meets Nathan, the cocky hockey captain who wants to show her that people who work hard also deserve to play hard. Hannah Grace creates a swoon-worthy—and sexy—story of frenemies turned lovers who spend as much time in bed as they do on the ice. But we felt like Nate’s hockey teammates were the true MVPs of this delightful tale, showing nothing but support to both halves of the couple whenever their athletic ambitions clashed with their emotions. If you love a story where the romance is red-hot even when the arena is freezing, pour yourself a hot drink and cozy up with Icebreaker.

Really liked it
I love a good enemies to lovers read, of course. So the beginning was really exciting and then I loved how much the two of them connected throughout the whole of it. i especially enjoyed the relationships Anastasia built with all of Nates friends. I did get bored three quarters the way through but I pushed through and it pulled me back in and had a sweet end. cute book
Awesome!
This is such a wonderful story. It’s a long one, but if you love reading for the characters relationship it’s so worth it. Nate and Anastasia are really great together. They understand each other’s faults, yet deeply love each other for them. They fight, and talk and love and play. In a truly healthy way they provide the safety needed for each of them to grow. All the characters in this book have depth that is so realistic. I also felt like the harder issues such as an eating disorder, mental illness and therapy was handled well.
The spice level for this book it about a 8/10- there is LOTS of it but it’s (mostly) tame.
Icebreaker
Came into this read expecting some light, very cheesy and cliche romance. And left feeling satisfied yet very confused.
Don’t get me wrong it has more than enough stupid romance, but it also has a lot of scenes that strike deep and I can really resonate with. I really enjoyed Anastasia’s growth throughout the book. And JJ best character.
Deffinatly could use some better writing, but it’s a great quick read!
