Publisher Description
The final book of the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling Rose Gardner Investigations series.
When a body shows up south of Henryetta, Rose knows trouble is on the horizon. Rufus Wilson worked for the county crime lord, Skeeter Malcolm, and she soon discovers Wilson had a special skill set—he could crack safes.
Now everyone is looking for Wilson’s girlfriend, including Rose, and it doesn’t take her long to realize Wilson’s murder might actually be connected to something else, something bigger. Hardshaw Group, a Dallas crime syndicate, is meeting a South American drug cartel in the county, only no one knows the time and place.
Denny Carmichael’s drug empire has a lot to lose if they move in, so now he’s calling in the favor he insists Rose owes him—find him the time and location. Or else.
Rose is a hair’s breadth away from losing everyone she loves, including her six-week-old daughter, and she’ll do anything she can to save them.

I see more of Rose, even if you can't. The door has been left open for all characters and it's shame to stop now.
One day Rose will channel through you again and you will not be able to stop her flow.

Wow.
I started the Rose Gardner series when I was in high school. I think I was 16 or 17. I’m now 24. I’ll never forget how I snuck my moms credit card to buy every single Rose Gardner book. The lectures were worth it.
What a journey it’s been. This series brought me so much happiness. I never knew a book could make me feel so much, but my god, Rose did. I’ve never loved a series more. And the ending... ah so bittersweet. (SPOILER ALERT)
I wanted James to have his happy ending so goddamn bad. So freaking bad! I rooted for him from the bottom of my heart every single book. I wanted him to have a life with Rose and Hope so bad. I cried so hard reading their final scene. It was beautiful and it seemed ‘right’ but man I wish he had gotten his happy ending. I think he truly deserved it after everything he went through. I loved Rose so much with him. More than Mason and I absolutely adored Mason and her together. But damn James and Rose have my heart forever.
Thank you Denise for blessing me with a series that helped uplift me during the most difficult times in my life. I have reread this series so many times and every single time it’s just as good. I feel like Rose has literally been part of my life. It’s been years.Thank you. I will always be a reader 💜
Wow
I loved this series from the very beginning and it’s very bittersweet that this is the last book for Rose. Denise did not disappoint her fans. I could not put her book down. Beautifully written with such beloved characters. I will miss them all.
