NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE STARRING BLAKE LIVELY AND JUSTIN BALDONI!
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Starts with Us and All Your Perfects, a “brave and heartbreaking novel that digs its claws into you and doesn’t let go, long after you’ve finished it” (Anna Todd, New York Times bestselling author) about a young woman in a new relationship who can’t stop thinking about her first love.
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. And when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily. And the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head. But Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his “no dating” rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan—her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
An honest, evocative, and tender novel, It Ends with Us is “a glorious and touching read, a forever keeper. The kind of book that gets handed down” (USA TODAY).
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
New Adult pioneer Colleen Hoover's latest novel is a courageous and autobiographical look at the cycle of domestic abuse. Lily Bloom is still making peace with the death of her violent father when she meets Ryle Kincaid, a charismatic neurosurgeon. Lily finds herself falling for Ryle, but then a lover from her past re-enters her life and forces her to question her choices. We were moved by this nontraditional romance, which dares to explore how childhood trauma impacts our adult relationships.
Customer Reviews
Amazing. Captivating. Truly one of the best books I’ve ever read!
This book was such a page-turner! I couldn’t stop reading, even when I knew I should be sleeping. It captured me from the first page right to the last!
Terrible
The only reason why this book is rated so high is because people are so easily impressed by hot garbage pretending to be deep. It’s obvious these readers haven’t read anything of substance, so they think this uninspired, fan-fiction adjacent mess is enjoyable to read. Not only is it poorly written, but it has the worst characters and plot known to man. She’s writing in a diary to Ellen DeGeneres at the age of 15? That genuinely didn’t make you laugh out loud? She falls in love with a creepy loser who begs on his knees for s*x and on top of that his name is Ryle? You’re telling me that isn’t a joke? The plot conveniences and sad excuses for being deep makes this one of the worst books I ever read. I keep hearing people say this book is bad because it “romanticizes ab*se”. No, it doesn’t - it just does a piss poor job of portraying it. Colleen Hoover, do the world a favour and stop writing books. You are singlehandedly ruining the world of literature - and that is not an exaggeration.
Overly predictable
I found this book to be very predictable. There were no surprises and I anticipated what the writer would do next. Kind of annoying. I bought it because of the high stars. But this was not my cup of tea.
