He wants her submission. She demands his secrets.
Hades has acres of diamonds and precious little patience for a world that has stolen his compassion. So, when lifegiving medication is withheld from him, Hades steals something more valuable—the daughter of his enemy—and holds her for ransom.
The night Persephone left home, she had just one thing on her mind: freedom. But that was before a bad-tempered billionaire claimed her body as his own. Now at his behest, Persephone is far from content with being a possession. For this, there must be recompense...
Determined to know every uncharted inch of her captor, Persephone insists on answers. But even as their defenses topple beneath a wave of desire, Hades’ worst secrets remain buried deep—and his pain threatens to engulf any who dare to unearth it.
Customer Reviews
I was enjoying until...
I was enjoying this book for several reasons: I like books that twist the Hades/Persephone story. It has some Beauty and the Beast elements. I like some of the mystery behind what’s going on between the siblings. It’s a simple, entertaining read with dark elements but I couldn’t give it full stars because of some editing mishaps. I knew when I started Chapter 14, something was missing. There was a gap in the story, I don’t like gaps but I was enjoying it so I kept reading. When I got to Chapter 15 and was reading the same things from the previous chapter, I realized that there was a gap and it was because someone didn’t take the time to finish proofreading. It’s frustrating when this happens & I’m jarred out of the book. Anyway, one error (even a big one like this) isn’t enough to stop me from reading the book. I’d also read more by this author. I think her ideas are thought out and I’ll continue to support her books. TLDR; Book has some merit for the genre, however, Chapter 14 & Chapter 15 are the same which is frustrating.
