Known Associates

Known Associates is a darkly comic crime story from the Dodge City Chronicles, where everyone knows everyone — although not necessarily by their real name.

When retired observer Arthur Pendelton finds himself with too much time on his hands, he drifts back towards the familiar characters of Dodge. Meanwhile, a stolen Audi, a damaged briefcase, a false name and a trail of small fires begin linking people who would much rather remain unconnected.

As rumours spread through the Bell and every version of events becomes less reliable than the last, the difference between what happened, what people believe happened, and what ends up in a police file becomes increasingly blurred.

Funny, sharply observed and full of memorable characters, Known Associates is a story about friendship, reputation, secrets — and the dangerous consequences of being connected to the wrong people.
