Not Just Friends

Not Just friends is a best friend's siblings romance in the Hot in the City series from T. Gephart. Jared and Presley give in to a night of passion but the next morning Jared is worried that he just made the biggest mistake of his life sleeping with his best friend's little sister. Presley does not agree with Jared's way of thinking and when her ex-boyfriend starts stalking her and brother convinces Jared to watch out for her, she sees this as the perfect opportunity to convince him she is not the vulnerable little girl anymore. The only problem is should they have just stayed friends, but it's probably too late for that now.

This was my first T. Gephart book and I am looking forward to reading more of her books. Even though this is part of a series, which I had not read the first two books, it can be read as a standalone and you will not feel lost. There was a great combination of heat, friendship, banter and a hint of suspense that kept you guessing. I loved the comradery of all of the firefighters and how they all looked out for each other. The chemistry and attraction between Jared and Presley was evident and hot right from the beginning. The impression that I had going into this book was that it was a rom com but even though it was more of a contemporary romance with a hint of suspense I was not disappointed.
