In this tenth and final novel of the Journey Home novel series, Gideon Taylor revisits his war years, something he swore at the end of the war he would never do. Stepping inside Asylum Hospital in Knoxville, he makes some surprising discoveries and finds even more awaiting him once he leaves the building as he takes "one final glimpse backward" before traveling as senator to Nashville, Tennessee.
