Good book
I Enjoyed this book!!
“One is a Promise” by Pam Godwin
As usual, Pam Godwin doesn’t disappoint with her books. There’s always a fizzle of excitement when starting one of her books because you just KNOW it going to be an awesome book which will make you think, cry, pant and be amazed at the sheer wonder that is human nature, all brilliantly described in fabulous detail by the author. She always opens each book in such an exciting way that makes you want to race through the pages then backtrack to the beginning to absorb every minute detail to make sure you don’t miss anything important. You want to read the book EVER SO SLOWLY so the book lasts that much longer. By the way, I write this review as I read the book.
The steaminess of Trace and Danni’s first encounter leaps off the page, which is surprising given how Danni is so enamoured with Cole and can’t stop comparing everything to him. Trace’s words are pure seduction when he describes how Danni belly dances. Cole and Danni’s first meeting is equally hot and delicious and extremely entertaining. Those two are perfect for each other! I absolutely adored how easy, comfortable and flirtatious they were with each other. While reading about their love, you can’t help but think there is no WAY Danni could POSSIBLY be attracted to anyone else. (I love how the author alternates writing about the past and Cole and the present, Trace. The reader falls in love with both Cole AND Trace and can’t decide who to prefer.)
Cole and Danni’s Love is so beautifully depicted one can’t possibly imagine anything even coming close. Despite everything Trace puts Danni through, she remains pure to her character. Trace’s question of making a choice between the two loves of her life is totally UNFAIR.
OMG!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE the ending!! YOU HAVE SO GOT TO READ THIS BOOK!!!
I have read some of Pam Godwin’s dark romances and found them unbelievably awesome. This story is definitely on par with her level of excellence! Hats off! Standing ovation!
