Buckled

Buckled is the second instalment in the “Trails of Sin” series by Pam Godwin and as I’ve come to expect from her, it did NOT disappoint. It’s a heart wrenching story about learning what true love really is, both the dark and the light of it.

Pam has the incredible ability to draw you so deeply into the story that you feel as though you’re living it yourself. The emotional connection that she’s able to establish between characters and the reader always leaves me in awe. I physically felt the devastation and heartbreak between Jarret and Maybe. My cuticles are destroyed because I was so anxious for them lol.

I was thrown off by our FMC’s name at first, but as the story develops I ended up absolutely adoring it and her character. She’s got so much back bone and tenacity that you can’t help but love her, dietary choices and all lol.

Jarret is the perfect morally grey MMC. Everything about him made me fall in love a little bit more.

I love how we get to experience the continuation of the initial story through other characters lives. The origin of the story was so devastating and heartbreaking, but to be able to continue that journey with them in a parallel storyline is healing the parts of me that broke for them that I wasn’t quite able to come to terms with after the end of the first book.

I’m really looking forward to book three and I have every expectation that Pam is going to both crush me and put my broken heart back together again.

Another fabulous, heartbreaking story of love’s healing power. I love Maybe’s name and quick wit. I loved Jarret’s persistence.
