And Carly has once again written a captivating story! There was not only a lot of romance, but also a bit of suspense in this tale. I totally enjoyed reading Sam and Nicole’s version to happily ever after! Can’t wait to read the next book in this series!.

Told from several omniscient third person perspectives including Sam and Nicole PERFECT TOGETHER follows in the wake of the broken engagement of New York socialite Nicole Farnsworth. Nicole knew returning to Serendipity may cause some issues for the people who were directly involved with her troubled twin sister Victoria but Victoria was getting help, and having called of her engagement in the wake of some troubling information, Nicole wanted to start over, far from the people she left behind. Getting reacquainted with the people in Serendipity brought with it memories from the past but falling for Detective Sam Marsden was never in the cards. Sam Marsden has loved and lost, and refuses to go down the same path again but something about Nicole called to his heart, and when the problems in New York follow Nicole to Serendipity, Sam becomes guardian and protector of the women with whom he will fall in love. What ensues is the building romance and relationship between Sam and Nicole, and the potential fall-out as Sam battles between head and heart as it pertains to our story line heroine.

The world building focuses on sins of the past: from Nicole’s sister’s mental illness, dysfunctional family values, inability to trust, and broken hearts Perfect Together focuses on moving forward and letting go of the past.

The relationship between Sam and Nicole is one of immediate attraction but Nicole’s sister’s previous problems weigh heavily on our story line heroine. Sam isn’t looking for anything permanent, and Nicole is hoping to move on from the past. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and sassy secondary and supporting characters including most of the previous story line introductions and couple. We are re-introduced to Sam’s extended family, as well as Nicole’s parents, and her ex Tyler.

PERFECT TOGETHER is a story of power and control, secrets and lies, betrayal and vengeance, forgiveness and understanding, acceptance and love .The fast paced premise is intriguing and captivating; the romance is seductive and provocative; the characters are determined, dynamic and charismatic.
