moving and tender
PROTECT AND OBEY is the second instalment in Jen Katemi’s contemporary,adult RICH AND ROYAL erotic, romance novella series focusing on the Leoni siblings: Kasper, Davide and Isabella from the kingdom of Leonioro. This is prince Davide Stefan Leoni, and security specialist Catriona Wilson’s story line. PROTECT AND OBEY can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and history between Princes Davide and Kasper.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Davide and Catriona) PROTECT AND OBEY follows the building relationship between Prince Davide Stefan Leoni, and his body guard Catriona ‘Cat’ Wilson. Prince Davide struggles with his place in the royal family, a family he both despises and loves in equal measure. In the hopes of relieving his boredom, and personally getting to now his new bodyguard Cat, Davide demands Catriona Wilson teach him the ways to defend and protect. What ensues is the building romance between Cat and Davide, and the potential fall-out as one or both become targets of a twisted mind.
Davide Leoni is the family screw-up with an earned reputation that precedes his introduction to our story line heroine. Having attempted to interfere in his twin brother’s ascension to the throne, Davide has lost the respect of the people back home. Catriona Wilson knows that life isn’t always black and white. Having left behind a military career, Catriona focuses on the future as body guard to Prince Davide, never expecting to fall in love.
The relationship between Cat and Davide begins as a business arrangement when Cat is assigned as one of Davide’s personal bodyguards.
