Uplifting, funny with a touch of sad
I enjoyed this book & the series. I found it uplifting, funny & sad all at the same time. The second chance at love for Ella & Hank is at a time when both are wondering just where their futures are headed. For Ella she’s questioning the fact that she’s only ever had small community theatre opportunities when a movie production comes to town & he ex-boyfriend the love of her life is staring in it. For Hank the opportunity of a lifetime happens when he gets a second chance at the role he first turned down, he gets to see Ella again after 10 yrs apart. Their second chance is short lived & in the end Hank ends up leaving her again. Determined to find out what it is he really wants & finish his movie commitment. Hank comes to a realization & makes his move on his future for asecond chance. The author has created 2 strong & very loveable characters in Ella & Hank & with the return of the bff’s & the introduction of Samantha a new bff for both Ella & Hank. She’s kept the theme of love for a second time continuous throughout the series. I hope that there might be a 4th book coming with the very loveable Miss Thing as the lead love interest. Definitely recommend. I voluntarily reviewed this book from the publisher through Net Galley.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley to read in exchange for a fair review. Second Chance At Two Love Lane is the third book in Kieran Kramer’s Two Love Lane series. While it could be read as a stand-alone, I think you will enjoy it more if you’ve read the other two books. The series is about 3 friends who own a matchmaking business. The stories are set in Charleston, South Carolina with lots of quirky secondary characters. Ella Mancini and Hank Rogers were young and in love struggling actors when Ella gave up her big break because she didn’t want to leave Hank, only to discover that Hank had not made the same choice and was leaving her. Ten years later Ella is happily settled in Charleston, acting in community theatre and running her successful matchmaking business. Hank comes to town for a part in a movie and a lot of unresolved issues and what if’s need to be dealt with. Lots of humour and light steam.
