Publisher Description
Scot Harvath must do whatever it takes to prevent the United States from being dragged into a deadly war in this heart-pounding thriller that is “timely, raw, and filled with enough action for two books” (The Real Book Spy) from the #1 New York Times bestselling author Brad Thor.
Across Europe, a secret organization has begun attacking diplomats. Back in the United States, a foreign ally demands the identity of a highly placed covert asset. In the balance hang the ingredients for all-out war.
With his mentor out of the game, counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath must take on the role he has spent his career avoiding. But, as with everything else he does, he intends to rewrite the rules—all of them.
In Spymaster, Scot Harvath is more cunning, more dangerous, and deadlier than ever before.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In Brad Thor’s 18th Scot Harvath book the stakes are higher than ever. Harvath and his team are pursuing an organization hellbent on dragging the U.S. and the rest of NATO into ruinous global conflict. A Navy SEAL-turned-counterterrorism operative, Harvath is an American hero built for the 21st century: cunning, smart, and on a never-ending quest to vanquish the world’s baddest guys. Thor's plot twists and rapid-fire dialogue make Spymaster an especially gripping and dramatic read.

Hated the cliffhanger ending!
I loved the book but hated the cliffhanger ending!
Bought the paperback, consider me hooked
I bought this book to keep me entertained during work (currently my job consists of sitting at the entrance to a restricted area on a tank farm, I basically watch a door for 10+ hours a day and am allowed to read and do crosswords but not much else). I didn’t realize this was the 18th book in the series.
I’m eagerly awaiting the release of “Backlash” and in the meantime I’ll be reading the previous 17 entries. Absolutely enthralling. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a nail biting, well researched thriller!
(Side note to the author; pilots take off in fog all the time via an IFR departure out of controlled airports. It was the hardest part of the story to buy for me. Otherwise, it was a great read!!)
Brad Thor
I love his books and I finish the latest and sit on end of my chair waiting for his next book. His descriptions and flow are like a movie y I can visualize the settings and the emotion around he and his teams journey.
