Oof! This pair are such an adorable trainwreck. Their relationship starts as pure hate, at least on Kimberleigh’s part. It evolves into grudging respect when Spencer helps her at a time when she’s at her most vulnerable. For his part, Spencer has never hated Kimberleigh, but he’s seen how her ice queen attitude effectively keeps everyone at a distance. Seeing her when she wasn’t at her best, allowed him to see behind her walls and discover the real woman behind her Hollywood persona. Their journey is a good reminder that everyone’s going through something, and appearances can be deceiving. It broke my heart to watch them stumble, but it made me so happy to see where they were able to get to in the end. This quick little foray took me back to a time prior to what I’d already read in this series. It’s reignited my love for it and I can’t wait to dive back into this world and see what else the author has planned for us.
